Apologies

Hi guys

Sorry for the lack of posts this week, my lifestyle daughter has been ill all week. It started with a nasty cough, then she lost her voice, then a sickness bug, finally she is feeling better, I'm exhausted though. Back to school for her tomorrow.

I plan to post a couple  of posts over the weekend and next week I am beginning fitness training, something I plan to document on here, as I am the unfitest person!!! I'm hoping by sharing my journey and goals the few of you who read this can help and encourage me.

I was inspired by many other bloggers to do the get to know me tag, I wasn't tagged but thought I would jump on the band wagon. Hope you enjoy.

1, What is your middle name?
 I don't have one, although as my name is Leigh Ann, Ann is always thought to be my middle name.

2, What was your favourite subject at school?
My favourite subjects were Modern studies and English.

3, What is your favourite drink?
Until recently it was diet irn bru, but as I have stopped drinking fizzy juice my new favourite is Robinsons orange and pineapple.

4, What is your favourite song at the moment?
Has to be anything by Jason Derulo.

5, What is your favourite food?
I'm a sucker for Italian food, but my all time favourite dish is Steak Diane with mini roast potatoes.

6, What was the last thing you bought?
Being a mum, my purchases are never for me, so the last thing I bought was a shopkins lunch box!!!!

7, Favourite book of all time?
I don't really have a favourite book, but my favourite book series is the Rebus collections by Ian Rankin.

8, Favourite colour?
My favourite colour changes from week to week but this week its navy.

9, Do you have any pets?
I have two gorgeous cats named Edu (the black one) and Leo. As we rescued both boys I didn't get to pick their names, but they are my wee pals.

10, Favourite perfume?
Thierry Muglar Alien for special occasions and Versace Red Jeans for every day.

11, Favourite holiday?
My favourite holiday was our honeymoon, we took our oldest daughter Aimee to Disneyland Paris, I was also pregnant with our youngest daughter Ava. We all had such an amazing time and made so many special favourites.

12, Are you married?
Yes, I married my first and only love Kenny in July 2009, we had been together nearly 10 years by this point, it truly was one of the best days of my life.

13, Have you ever been out of the country, if so how many times?
I have lost count of the amount of times I have left Scotland, never to anywhere exotic or interesting  (ha-ha) just the usual places, Spain, France, England.

14, Do you speak any other languages?
Unfortunately not, but wish I could.

15, How many siblings do you have?
I do, I am the youngest of 5, I have 4 older brothers, there is a 8 year age gap between myself and my youngest of the brothers, so I was more like an only child from about the age of 9 or 10 as they had all moved out by then.

16, What is your favourite shop?
Again being a mum my favourite shop revolves around the kids, my favourites at the moment are Zara and h and m for the wee one and JD Sports for the big ones
17, Favourite restaurant?
My all time favourite is a little Italian in Stirling called Italia Nostra, I will admit over the years the food has gone down a little but I have so many special memories there (Kenny proposed to me there) so it will always be my favourite. If I was basing it entirely on food it would be another Italian this time in Glasgow called La Laterna, if your ever near by give them a try the food is to die for.

18, When was the last time you cried?
Embarrassingly it was while watching the baltiera wedding on teen mom OG last week. I love the couples story and that they made it when most of us wouldn't.

19, Favourite blog?
I have a few,but,the witt family, livedwithlove brummymummyof2 are my top 3.

20, Favourite movie?
Oh I has to be Titanic and Dirty Dancing, I could watch them over and over again.
21, Favourite TV show?
At the moment its the Blacklist and The x Files,

22, pc or mac?
I'm not sure??

23, What phone do you have?
IPhone 6 rose gold, which I love, I'm a new convert to apple.

24, How tall are you?
5ft 5inchs

25, can you cook?
I can and im told I do it very well (di I really just say that) I love to cook and bake, its my favourite thing to do, which is just as well as I have a very hungry family to feed.

Our Week

Hi guys,

My week has been a standard mummy week!!!! Ill 5 year old and huffy teenagers. The joys of parenthood!!

I had so many plans for this week from crafting to cooking, from walks to playing in the park. I thought I could share these things on my blog, but low and behold sickness took over!
So my week went a bit like this.......

Monday

Ava (my 5 year old daughter) wakes up and says " Mummy when i cough it hurts in my back, its real sore, Please phone the doctor mummy" And so my week begins, my original plan for today was to start preparing billy's (my nephew)room to redecorate for his birthday on Saturday. instead mummy cuddles and my little pony were as productive as my day got until the doctor appointment (She was fine, probably pulled a muscle while coughing) for some reason this day exhausted me so an early night for all was had.

Tuesday

Ava wakes up, "Mummy i feel dizzy and my tummy hurts, i think i'm going to be..... " and she was! sick all up my wall!!!! so Tuesday went along the same lines of Monday, i don't think you want all the gory details. all I will say is by 8 PM She felt fine and decided she wasn't tired and didn't want to go to bed as she had slept during the day this carried on until 10 PM!!

Wednesday

Finally my baby was feeling better, but as she had been sick the previous day it meant another day off school, so i decided to make the most of having a little time with just Ava. Ava wanted to go and meet daddy and have lunch with him at work, which we did, not the best lunch I've ever had but it filled a hole, we then went to a local park and had an hour of fun (really i was hoping to tire her out as Ava doesn't really like to sleep, she never has)
We had a wonderful afternoon. I even managed to cook a home made spag bol at night, we had been naughty and had a takeaway the previous nights due to Ava being ill.

Thursday

The part of Scotland we live in started half term break today, (secretly i have been dreading half term, two teenagers bored all day) I have to admit my fears were alleviated. Aimee (12 year old daughter) made plans with her friend, which meant i had 3 teenagers in the house, they hung out here most of the day and had a giggle with makeup.Billy is currently grounded and banned from most technology, so he spent today in his bedroom watching TV very huffily. As we had a lovely dry sunny day Ava spent most of today in the garden playing in her playhouse, all in all a really good day. in the evening i managed to sneak out for dinner with my mum and dad while hubby Kenny took care of the kids. I am so lucky.

Friday

Today an be summed up with one word HOUSEWORK!!!!

Hello and welcome

Hi guys

Welcome to the slightly mad but loving world of the Ferguson family!!!

I thought I would do a little post to introduce myself and my family and tell you what I plan to do on my blog.

So firstly my name is Leigh Ann, I'm a 30 something mum, auntie and wife.

I have two daughters Aimee, she is 12 (but in her head I'm sure she thinks she's 18) and Ava who is 5 going on 15. These girls are my world and my reason for smiling every day. I'm sure over time you will really enjoy these crazy girls antics.

I also have legal guardianship of my 13 year old nephew Billy, he is very different personality wise to my daughters. Billy is a very young 13, but loves life and fun.

Lastly my husband, my rock, Kenny, I was lucky enough to marry my first and only love, we have been together since I was 16!!!! He is the best dad and uncle. He is very handsome and my best friend. He is the glue that keeps us all sane!!!

Blogging is a pastime I have hoped to get involved in for sometime now, I love reading blogs so thought it was time to give it a go. I hope to share our everyday life with you (where we go, what we eat, routines etc) review items we love and don't love ( I review everything I buy, I think it's good to share opinions). I also love to cook and bake so I could share this with you also.
